Opportunities & Ideas (From our Planning Meeting) - INPUT NEEDED

Several folks attended our recent planning session. Read through some of these ideas, then share your feedback with the form below!

Butterfly Stroll & Trolley Stops
We are looking for businesses to host events and activities during our annual Butterfly Stroll on May 13th.  We will also be seeking a Butterfly Stroll Sponsor, as well as Summer Sponsors, again this year.  

Love Downtown Give-Back Events
We are hoping to supplement our marketing budget while also bringing customers directly to your business. We invite you to schedule a give-back event and donate a portion of the proceeds from the event to Downtown Manchester.

Downtown Market Day
One suggestion was to hold a Downtown Market Day with vendors and art markets located in various parking lots throughout downtown.  This would require a committee of volunteers to bring this idea to life!

Shopping & Dining Night Out
Another suggestion was to create an adult-focused evening event of some type. We are looking for volunteers to create an event!

Mother's Day Build a Bouquet
Businesses would participate with a small sponsorship to cover the cost of supplies.  During a designated day and time, customers would visit businesses to collect one flower from each business, building a bouquet. The benefit to businesses would be exposure to new potential customers.

Downtown Dining
We decided to update the printed version of our Food & Beverage Guides. It was also suggested that some businesses would like to have a folder of paper menus to share with customers.  We will also be supplying a "More Downtown" flier or stand-up with a QR code that leads to our website and Dining directory.  Food & Beverage businesses should read THIS ARTICLE for more information.

Celebrating Downtown Milestones
We are looking for a few volunteers to plan a week of celebrating downtown milestones like anniversaries! One idea that was shared was to have businesses all decorate their front window during a certain time frame. Businesses would represent their "number" - the number of years they have been in business or downtown - in some way. We could do some sort of walking scavenger hunt connected to this.  We would love your ideas and your planning help!

Would you be interested in getting to know your downtown neighbors?  

Business Support
It was suggested that businesses could share their skills with each other. Ideas included workshops on how to market with social media, how to take quality product images, window displays, etc.
