Call for Nominations for Downtown Manchester Special Services District Board of Commissioners

The Downtown Manchester Special Services District (DMSSD) is the special taxing district of Downtown Manchester.  DMSSD is a formal cooperation between property owners and business owners within a defined boundary.

The Downtown Manchester Board of Commissioners is the governing body of the District. The Commissioners are downtown property owners and business lessees who volunteer their time to oversee the operations of the District. Commissioners are elected for a two-year term during our Biennial Elections which are held every other May. Any property owner or business lessee is eligible to serve as a Commissioner.

The Board is comprised of 5 Property Owners, 2 Business Lessees, 1 Alternate Commissioner and 3 Ex-Officio Members: The Town of Manchester's Director of Planning & Development, a representative from the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, and a representative of the downtown faith communities.

The DMSSD invites property and business owners (in the District) who would like to be considered for nomination to the DMSSD Board of Commissioners to contact a member of the DMSSD Nominating Committee prior to Monday, February 19, 2024.  CLICK HERE to view the Call for Nominations document which was sent to all Downtown Members in the mail.

The DMSDD will hold the Biennial Elections for the Board of Commissioners on May 15, 2024, at 8am, in the Manchester Room at the Town Hall.
