2024 Downtown Scarecrow Festival

Please help us create a fun and welcoming display that can be enjoyed by all! Our scarecrow festival celebrates the Manchester community and the fall season and is not a halloween-specific event. 

Please keep scarecrows family-friendly, and avoid displays that are overly scary or gory, political themes, and overt business advertisements.

Businesses and organizations are encouraged to incorporate your industry into the theme of your display in a creative manner, including utilizing branded merch, etc. Scarecrows should be fun and enjoyable to veiw and not just an advertisement. Lawn signs or placards of any sort are not permitted in the planters.

The Downtown District will place an official sign next to each scarecrow. Scarecrow creators will also be thanked online on our website, along with links to the business pages.  Each scarecrow will be photographed and included in our Facebook album, and businesses will be tagged in the photo.

Scarecrows will be displayed from October 12- 27. (Scarecrows can be installed beginning on Oct. 10th and must be removed before November 1st.) 

Facebook Favorites voting will be held on the Downtown Manchester Facebook page. The photo with the most votes by 5 am on November 1st will be awarded the honor of Facebook Favorite and will receive a $50 gift card to a downtown business.
