Business Preparation for Holiday on Main 2024

The District is preparing for a HUGE Holiday on Main event on Small Business Saturday, November 30th.  You won't want to miss out!

The District will be providing and organizing:

These exciting activities are paid for and organized by the District with no cost to your business!

• Shopping Challenge: The District will be coordinating a shopping "Connect Four" game! Guests will earn stickers for each purchase made at a downtown business during the event.  All businesses that are open between 10 am to 2 pm may participate with no cost to the business. The District will provide the stickers or businesses may provide their own stickers. The District will purchase and provide gift cards as prizes. Additional door prizes may be offered by businesses if desired.
  
  
• Santa Photos (11-2):  The District has contracted with a professional Santa and a professional photo booth company! Guests will take home a 4x6 photo as a souvenir!
  
  
• Snow Globe Photos: The District will be renting two outdoor life-sized snowglobes! These are sure to catch the eye of those traveling along Main Street!  Guests can enter the snowglobes to take photos! Special guests, Jingles the Elf and Chuckles will be available throughout the day for photos!
  
  
• Jingles the Elf: Jingles will return for a third year! In the past, Jingles has excelled at interacting with guests and directing them towards our activities. This year Jingles will be stationed at the snow globes with the goal of encouraging guests to visit activities throughout the District.
  
  
• Crafts and Activities: The District will be purchasing supplies for family-friendly crafts and activities. Businesses may request to host and lead one of these activities at their location (limited supplies can be provided by the District).   
  
  
• Letters From Santa:  Each year guests mail Santa letters at our North Pole Post Offices during the event.  The District purchases supplies (stationary, envelopes,  stamps, and a small gift) for Santa to mail in return. The District also coordinates volunteers to handwrite individualized responses to each child!  This year the District will host a North Pole Post Office at WORK_SPACE near the Santa photos.  Up to two additional North Pole Post Office locations at businesses may be approved based on location and available hours of the business.

Business Opportunities

How would you like to participate in this fun event? Your business can choose to:

• Participate in the shopping challenge: All businesses that are open during the event may participate in the shopping challenge! Each time a customer makes a purchase place a sticker on the customer's game board (provided by the District).  The District can provide stickers or you may elect to use your own stickers.
  
  
• Design an activity or promotion and we will share it with guests! (Sale, Menu Item, Shopping Challenge, Special Guest, Workshop or Class, Craft, etc. We would love activities that appeal to children AND adults!)
  
  
• Host an activity with supplies provided by the District! We will provide supplies for a craft or activity (i.e. tattoos) and you simply provide the location and the volunteers to offer that activity in your location! If requested, the District will attempt to coordinate volunteers for your location but that cannot be guaranteed. The number of activities is limited, so sign up early!
  
  
• Donate a door prize for our Shopping Challenge. Door prizes will be on display at WORK_SPACE near the Santa Photos and will be listed in our post-event online article.
