Creative ReUse Fest

The Appalachian ReUse Hub, a program of Coalfield Development, is in the process of building a "makerspace" in Huntington where community members will be able to pay a reasonable monthly fee to use equipment such as a CNC machine, 3D printer, and plastic extruder to incubate small business ideas or simply learn a new skill. As a way to raise funds for completing the makerspace and to introduce the community to our work of building a market for reuse and recycling in Central Appalachia, Appalachian Reuse Hub is hosting our inaugural Creative Reuse Fest at West Edge Factory. At the Fest, we will creatively reimagine discarded or used materials through reusing, upcycling, repurposing, and reinventing items as new products or artwork! Bring and trade used art supplies, old clothes, and unwanted items at our Eco-Swap, shop cool crafts made with reused materials at the Pop-up Market, visit our Collage Station, repair something at the Fix it Cafe, submit to our Upcycled Art Show, and enjoy food and music!
