Event Recap: Carnival of the Animals 2023 hosted by the Huntington Children's Museum @ The Wild Ramp

The Huntington Children’s Museum hosted its “Carnival of the Animals” event this past weekend (April 15, 2023) at the Wild Ramp and had a successful turnout! The Huntington Children’s Museum brought “The Story Orchestra: Carnival of the Animals” written by Katy Flint to life during the event by offering fun, interactive activities for children to enjoy at no cost. Children and other participants could explore lions, elephants, turtles, fossils, birds, ocean creatures, and kangaroos through fun hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, math, and music activities!

A community supported event

Small businesses, volunteers, and community members showed their support for this event in a variety of ways! Beyond hands-on activities, the event included a live musical performance by the Huntington High School band and local food prepared by the Harvest Kitchen at the Wild Ramp. Cicada Books even sold all their copies of “The Story Orchestra: Carnival of the Animals,” and started taking online orders! The event was a great kick-off to the spring season. See the entire gallery at the bottom of the page!
