Saving Money and the Planet with the ReUse Cowboy

The ReUse Cowboy made another visit to Central City this past week, making stops at Village Antiques and Cicada Books and Coffee! The ReUse Cowboy, the mascot of the Appalachian ReUse Hub, is on a mission to inspire the community to reuse, and what better place to find inspiration than the Central City Antiques District?
During his visit to Village Antiques, the ReUse Cowboy looked for vintage clothes, as buying vintage over fast fashion is a great way to be more sustainable in your shopping. According to other sources, one of the main reasons shopping vintage is good for the planet is because it creates less pollution. The fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, and a lot of that pollution comes from the manufacturing process. Village Antiques is a perfect place to find awesome vintage clothes!
Specifically, the ReUse Cowboy loved this Caron Chicago Vintage 80s Dress (photographed above). The dress is made in the USA, includes its belt, and is in nearly perfect condition as it looks practically new! For just $28, you can buy this lovely dress, saving money and the planet!
