MEMBER HIGHLIGHT: Power of 100 Women

Power of 100 Women Lincoln County is an all women organization created to bring awareness and to support local non-profit organizations in Lincoln County. Their first mission is to learn and share the needs of local non-profits. Power of 100 Women meets once every three months learn about three non-profits that benefit Lincoln County. After their presentations, the members vote to select 1 of these organizations and commit to donating $100 from each member to the winning organization. Each member will write a check directly to the winner.

Since their first meeting in November 2020, they have donated over $50,000 to 10 non-profits in Lincoln County. These 10 winning organizations are Junior’s House, Crossroads Pregnancy Clinic, Lincoln County Museum, Carriage House Players, Always Endure, Fayetteville-Lincoln County Arts Center, Fayetteville Lincoln County Animal Shelter, Lincoln County Family Resource Center, Hayden’s Hope, and Hands of Mercy Outreach Center.

The most common question that they get is ‘Can men join?’ They are an all women organization, but they do have men that attend the meetings and donate to the winning charity. Those men are our very valued "supporters" of Power of 100 Women.

Debra Smith heard about Power of 100 Women Warren County, TN and embraced the need for this type of organization here in our hometown of Lincoln County. She gathered 10 of her friends, and it has grown to nearly 70 members. Their goal is to reach 100+ members, so that they can collectively donate $10,000 to each quarter's winning charity.

100 members X $100 each = $10,000 donation to a charity that benefits Lincoln County.
