Little Entrepreneur Fair co-hosted with Edgez Dance was the best yet!

Little Entrepreneurs from far and wide showed up with their great creations or business ideas to share with the local community.

With more attendance than any prior fair, this event was co-hosted with local dance school, Edgez Dance, to help ensure its success.

The event consisted of a large marketplace with tents packed full of bright young minds and their goods, a deluxe stage from the City of Orlando that hosted dance performances (Edgez Dance), martial arts demonstrations (Championship Martial Arts - Curry Ford), and brief comments from event organizers and community heroes (Orlando Police Department, Fire Department, and Orange County Sheriff's Office).

The most exciting development from previous years was the addition of a ticketed "fun zone" that expanded beyond the free aspects of the event to raise funds for the CFW organization. This year's fun zone included carnival style games, cotton candy provided by Charlie's Bakery & Creamery, face painting from Party in the City LLC, and elegant balloon decor from Bold Balloons.

Maybe you saw us on the news!

After the event was kicked off and the event planners kicked back and took some quick pics with the Fire Department before they left, a large video camera popped up on the grounds and the man setting it up seemed quite official. When questioned, he said he was from Spectrum News and it would be covered on that night's broadcast!

They interviewed Curry Ford West's Executive Director, but we never got to see it showing live on air. Did you happen to catch it??

Making connections to make it even better.

Some of the coolest people we met at the Curry Ford West tent were two representatives from the Junior Achievement organization who shared their love for the event. They went on to chat with our team about a "market day" they have their youth participate in, but this makes it feel "really real."

We expect some great collaboration between our organizations to make the next Little Entrepreneur Fair even more awesome than this year's was. We're still getting emails from parents who either attended or weren't able to make it to the last festival to ask when the next opportunity is. Since then, we've already found additional opportunities to have Little Vendors at Tamale Co's Cinco de Mayo Birthday Bash!
