Rutherford County Courthouse Museum Celebrates its one year anniversary
December 7th, 2022
Main Street Murfreesboro and the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Rutherford County Mayor's Office and Historical Courthouse Museum committee, celebrated the one year anniversary of the Rutherford County Courthouse museum on December the 7th. Mayor Carr, County Historian Greg Tucker, and museum committee chair Bill Jakes shared what this means for our county.
“This is a dream come true. “ -Bill Jakes
The museum consists of five exhibit rooms with artifacts on display representing more than 200 years of Rutherford county history. The museum is free and open to the general public.
Main Street board members, Chamber diplomats, small business owners, and community members who attended enjoyed refreshments provided by the Tasty Table and Doodles Kitchen & Bakery. Everyone received a guided tour of the museum.
What an honor it was to celebrate the first anniversary of this treasure on the Murfreesboro square during the Holiday Season.
