"Evening on Main" fundraising event held December 12 from 5-7 PM.
Evening on Main held December 12 at a historic home on Main Street.
This annual event is a way for those in the community who love our historic downtown and want to support the Main Street program to come together for an intimate gathering.
Paul and Jessica Seegert are opening their historic Main Street home for guests to stop in between 5:00 and 7:00 PM. During the event, donations are requested for the Main Street organization. Light appetizers and drinks will be served, and tours of the home will be available.
History of 702 East Main Street is a part of the Main Street heritage.
Originally constructed in 1907 by C.B. Ragland, this beautiful home has witnessed over a century of history. It has passed through several hands throughout the years, including the King family, who held ownership from 1944 until 2001.
Each chapter of its past is etched into its walls, adding to the character and charm of this remarkable property. In 2002, the home found new life under the care of the Hopkins family, who lovingly restored and remodeled it, preserving its historic charm while embracing modern comforts.
The Seegerts bought the home in 2021.
Today this iconic residence stands as a testament to timeless beauty, resilience, and the power of preservation.
