Two weeks until Saturday Market!

Mark your calendar now to join us around the historic Rutherford County Courthouse for the Saturday Market.

We are not alone in believing ours is one of the best farmer's markets in Middle Tennessee.  We have a great mix of fresh produce, fresh mushrooms, locally produced meats, bakery products, local honey, fresh deli items, country ham, coffee, cookies, and locally grown flowers, plants, trees, and herbs.  We have work by local artisans, candlemakers, woodworkers, jewelry makers, soap makers, herbalists, and even treats for your pets.  You have to see it to appreciate all that the Saturday Market has to offer.  Oh, did we mention live music, balloon art, programs that focus on your health and wellness, and local sponsors?

Who's at the market in 2024?

For the 2024 Season, the Saturday Market is focusing on health and wellness.  The best food comes to you from locally available produce, meats, eggs, and locally made products.  But being connected to your community and taking advantage of available community resources can also make for a healthier, happier life.  That's why we are glad to include the Rutherford County Master Gardeners in our market lineup again this year.  Their free resources help us all become better gardeners and stay engaged in an active lifestyle.  We love that the Friends of Linebaugh Library are returning twice this season to distribute free books, DVDs, CDs, and magazines to market customers.  And if you are not registered to vote, you will have two opportunities to register right at the market.  We also have information tables this season from the Parkinson's Support Group and the Alzheimer's Association Support Group.  You will also have a chance to learn more about the work of The Journey Home and how you can support this group through food donations.  The Main Street Murfreesboro Saturday Market brings community together.

Children learn to be future market vendors and gain entrepreneurship skills at the Children's Maret on June 15 downtown.

If you know a young person who would love to learn more and have some first-hand experience as an entrepreneur, then check out the Children's Market.  Main Street is working with the Children's Entrepreneur Market to host a young entrepreneur day on June 15 downtown.  It will be set up in the parking lot of the old "Bank of America" building across from the courthouse.  This event is designed to encourage young people 5-17 who want to try their hand at selling.  Information and registration is through their website:  www.childrensentrepreneurmarket.com.

We hope to see some future market vendors at this event.  When you shop at the Saturday Market, walk across to check out this event.
