Memorial Day Weekend at the Saturday Market
We hope you will start your Memorial Day weekend at the Saturday Market downtown. Come for breakfast--fresh bagels, pastries, coffee (hot or iced)--have a mid-morning snack and take home some lunch. If you are grilling this weekend, HPA and Wagyu have you covered. For everything else on your menu, check with our farm vendors for the freshest produce you can find. And, just walking through the market will lift your spirits. Join us every Saturday from 8-noon through October. Become part of our Saturday Market community and "Make us your downtown destination for fresh, local, and wonderful."
Shop with these vendors at the May 25 Saturday Market.
Saturday Market Map for May 25-Find Your Favorite Vendors & Discover New Ones
Check out new vendors, music, and community programs.
We have eight new vendors coming for the first time in the 2024 season: Chubbee Creations (handmade bags & totes), Dainty Dani's (houseplants), Howard Litvak Legendary Photography (original photos), Hungry Lilies (cupcakes, cakes, cookies and more), Kaitlin Savage Ceramics (mugs and more), Known.Clay Designs (handcrafted jewelry), T's Nuts Gourmet Peanut Butter (a twist on peanut butter favorites), and Trinity Joy Paints (original watercolors, prints, and cards). Kevin Wolf will be our market musician for Saturday's market. Visit the Master Gardeners of Rutherford County tent this week to learn more about composting. And check out information about the Boro Art Crawl from their information tent. Join us on the square. We will be open rain or shine.
Vendor Highlights-Meet these Market Vendors
If you haven't met these vendors, then make a point of saying hello this week when you shop at their tables. Part of the attraction of shopping at a Farmer's Market is knowing where your food (and artisan products) are grown and made. These folks who grow and make what they sell know their business. Ask if they have social media accounts, and follow them for updates. This week, meet (L-R) Chris and Robbie from Southland Farms (fresh-picked seasonal produce), Michael at Frontier Family Farm (hydroponic produce), Linda and Brittany at Nashville Quilt Co. (cozies and other quilted items-find them on Facebook), and John-Possum Bottom Farms ( organically grown mushrooms of all varieties). These four vendors are on hand at the market every week. We will be highlighting a few of our market vendors each week until we have featured all of them. You can find these and other vendors on the weekly market map.
A Note From: Christina at 416 Clay Studio
Each week that we’re at the market we bring something new! New this week, we’ll have faux macramé earrings in beautiful, muted summer colors. Also, a variety of floral earrings using the same color palette. As we’re finishing up this week’s newbies, we’re already thinking about our next collection of earrings which will include patriotic earrings perfect for the 4th of July. That collection will be ready to go at the June 8 Saturday Market.
All of our earrings are hypoallergenic. That means that there is minimal risk of causing an allergic reaction or skin sensitivities. All of our earring posts are made of stainless steel, free of nickel and lead. Polymer clay is a synthetic modeling clay made from PVC, otherwise known as polyvinyl chloride. It hardens with heat and is plastic-based so it will last a very long time. If cured properly, polymer clay is extremely durable and will not become weak, break or shatter over time. Our clay is tested regularly to ensure durability. The best part about polymer clay earrings is that they are lightweight! Our earrings are made to last!
Thanks for supporting local artisans-Christina

Friday Night Live Concerts Start June 7
The Saturday Market is just one of many events happening in Downtown Murfreesboro. The first Friday Night Live Concert happens June 7 on the square. It's a free event during the summer months, organized by Main Street Murfreesboro. Plan now to bring your lawn chairs and friends.
The Boro Art Crawl
The Boro Art Crawl, founded in 2015 by local artists to foster the artistic community in Murfreesboro, is scheduled this year for June 14. Businesses downtown will host one or more artists with additional artists located along sidewalks. This week, May 25, organizers for the Boro Art Crawl will be at the market to promote the event and encourage artists to participate. Stop by their table (it's on the map) and learn more.
Theater Performers at the Saturday Market
Don't be surprised to see members of Rock of Ages walking around the Saturday Market this week to promote their play. It's in the final weekend at The Murfreesboro Center for the Arts. You will hear hits of bands including Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, and more at the performance, with a live band onstage. Use code MARKETROCK to get $5 off each ticket to this weekend's performance.
