The Murfreesboro Saturday Market circles the courthouse every Saturday from 8-Noon, and this week we have a full lineup of vendors. Plan now to join us this weekend and start your summer off with fresh produce, flowers, locally raised meats, fresh-baked goods, and family fun. Enjoy fiddle music on Saturday by Sophie Buck. Our market supports local growers, makers, and producers. The market is open every Saturday from 8-noon through October 26 (rain or shine). 

If you haven't met these vendors, then make a point of saying hello this week. It's fun to shop at a Farmer's Market where you can talk to the people who grow your food and make their products. Ask if they have social media accounts and follow them for updates. This week, meet (L-R) Dr. Song Cui director of the MTSU Small Farm (organically certified, fresh-picked seasonal produce) @MTSU Small Farm on Facebook, Jim Anderson at Bucksnort Trout Ranch (locally raised trout, smoked trout, and trout dip), Tricia at Barefoot Acres Herbs (fresh herbal salves, lotions and more) @Barefoot Acres Herbs on Facebook, and Harmony Lane Farm & Creamery (fresh goat cheeses, fudge, goat milk lotions and soaps). These four vendors are full-time and will be at the market every week. Each week in our newsletter, we will highlight a few market vendors until we have featured all of them. You can find these vendors and other vendor locations on the weekly market map. 

McIntosh Field & Flower is a long-awaited dream realized by two sisters, Erin & Tara McIntosh in 2020. While cut flowers are the main commercial focus, the farm is also home to a motley crew of animals including pigs, goats, chickens, and honey bees.

Their small family farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is nestled on six acres where they focus on growing the highest quality and most unique fresh-cut flowers for the local market. Grown without harsh chemicals or pesticides, they focus on growing what's in season - from Winter Tulips to Fall Dahlias and everything in between.

They pride themselves on high-quality, long-lasting and unique blooms. Grown, not flown! From selecting the best, most exciting varieties, to diligently harvesting every stem, they sell their flowers and flower products every week at the Saturday Market. Ask them about their seasonal flower subscriptions. 

The Saturday Market is just one of many events happening in Downtown Murfreesboro. The first Friday Night Live Concert happens June 7 on the square. It's a free event during the summer months, organized by Main Street Murfreesboro. Plan now to bring your lawn chairs and friends.
