Get Ready for the 4th at the Saturday Market

"Make us your downtown destination for fresh, local, and wonderful."

Are you celebrating the Fourth of July with food, friends, and family? Then make the Saturday Market your first stop for fresh--everything. Need meats to grill? We have that! Need veggies? We have that! Need desserts? We have that! Need fresh peaches, blueberries, or blackberries for pies and ice cream? We have that! And we have flowers for your table, handcrafted wooden serving boards, all the garlic you could possibly need, BBQ sauces, handcrafted rocking chairs (for watching fireworks), and a little bit of something for fun shopping.

We're open every Saturday from 8-noon through October 26 (rain, shine, or heat). See you Saturday morning. Remember to vote for us as your Favorite Farmer's Market by VOTING HERE!

Classic Garlic Braid

This is the season for fresh garlic, and there is no comparison between fresh and store-bought. Fresh garlic and fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes are in a food class by themselves. Garlic braids are a convenient way to store (and easily use) your fresh garlic. Look for fresh garlic at Spring Meadow Farm and Belle Fleur Farm and find garlic braids this week at Quarter Springs Farm.

Try roasted garlic, drizzled with olive oil, then spread on a slice of toasted sourdough bread (from the market of course). A sliced tomato on the side would make it perfect.

A cool drink from Van Horn's Cookies & Ice Cream

Love ice cream? Love espresso? Try this new combination drink from Van Horn's Cookies & Ice Cream. It's called the Affogato, and it's guaranteed to make your walk around the market even better.

    MTSU Milk Available This Week

The MTSU Milk Truck won't be at the market, but the MTSU Small Farm will have a limited supply of milk for sale.
