Saturday Market Newsletter Sept. 7

September-Sweater Weather at the Market

"Make us your downtown destination for fresh, local, and wonderful."

This promises to be a busy downtown Saturday morning. The 9-11 Heroes Race starts and finishes at the Civic Plaza, and the runners make their final dash right by the market. Streets leading downtown will be closed from 7-9:45, but the market is still open for business. We hope you will make your way downtown and visit the market.

From 10-12, MTSU will be bringing students from campus to experience our downtown and visit the Saturday Market. Let's all show up and give them a taste of the spirit of community in Murfreesboro.

We have two new vendors this week, Granola'd and Erin's Fine Art. Read more about them in the newsletter.

Pumpkin Spice Chai is available this week from Cheiman Tea, and it's time for mums at the market. You won't be able to miss them. And soon to follow--PUMPKINS.

See you on the square Saturday morning from 8-noon for the market. You might need a sweater this week as we get a hint of fall weather.

Welcome The Granola'd Girls to the Market

We love showcasing new vendors at the market. This week, Granola'd, a small business started by Anna Belle and Lila Mae two sisters from Murfreesboro, will make their debut at the market. Stop by and welcome The Granola'd Girls to the Saturday Market--and try their fresh granola.

New Vendor-Erin Lynn Artist

Erin Lynn is a fine art oil painter based in the greater Nashville, Tennessee, area. Her work captures serene and emotional landscapes, painted on wooden canvases. Erin is a participant in the Boro Art Crawl and we welcome her to this week's Saturday Market.

Mums are back at the market this week. Look for mums from our farm vendors this Saturday.

Where better to buy fresh mums for fall decorations than the farmer's market? Check out Southland Farms and Triple A Farms this week and the rest of the season for fresh mums.
