Grant Success: Transforming Downtown McMinnville
Have you seen the exciting updates happening in downtown McMinnville? Last year, we secured a $300,000 Downtown Improvement Grant from the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development (TNECD) and Tennessee Main Street. This year, those funds, along with a 25% match from property owners, are fueling a variety of restoration and enhancement efforts that are transforming our beloved Main Street.
From new painting, awnings, windows, and doors to murals, brickwork, and landscaping, these improvements are making downtown McMinnville even more vibrant, welcoming, and functional. In addition to these major upgrades, keep watch for more streetscape updates coming soon, including new benches, trash cans, and picnic tables that will further enhance the experience for everyone. This grant also made possible updates like thoughtful streetscape designs and spaces that highlight the charm of our community while creating an inviting environment for locals, visitors, and businesses alike.
