2024 "Christmas Movies on Parade"

Good morning, everyone!

I want to express how happy I am about last night’s “Christmas Movies on Parade!” It was a beautiful evening for a parade—perfectly mild with little to no wind. We had 18 participants this year, all of whom contributed to the success of the event!

I am thrilled to announce our 2024 “Christmas Movies on Parade” winners. Congratulations to:

- 1st Place – Lily Lake 4-H
- 2nd Place – Santa and Mrs. Santa / Reindeer from Fulton Valley Farm
- 3rd Place – Lazy Moon Ranch

Winners have been notified and are asked to come to the Train Depot next week to pick up their cash prizes!

As I walked at the end of the parade, it was heartwarming to see the crowd enjoying the evening—people of all ages and the joyful faces of children filled with innocence.

At the parade's conclusion, the high school singers serenaded us with Christmas carols, and children had the chance to see Santa, Mrs. Santa, and the reindeer, sharing their wishes while enjoying hot cocoa and cookies.

I want to extend my gratitude to the businesses that remained open, along with the Augusta Historical Theatre for providing popcorn, and the Historical Museum for supplying hot cocoa and cookies, and for allowing Santa and Mrs. Santa to greet all the children.

A huge thank you to our members who supported the parade and all of our volunteers who helped set up barricades and organized the lineup of participants. I couldn't have done any of this without you!
