Securing Safety - A Tashlich High Holiday Ritual
Sunday October 6, 1 - 3 pm
Groff Park: 83 Mill Lane, Amherst
We will be under a pavilion with picnic tables. Plenty of parking
Please join us on Sunday October 6, 1-3 pm at Groff Park, for an immigration justice themed Tashlich, "Securing Safety," where we will reaffirm our Jewish commitment to "welcome the stranger" for the new year ahead. We will share songs, reflections, and the Tashlich ritual, with an emphasis on what we (individually, and as a society) need to let go of, and what we need to create, to change
the immigration narrative and envision a world in which people are welcomed and recognized for their contributions.
Bring snacks to share. Also bring small rocks to throw into the river as part of the Tashlich ritual.
Everyone is warmly welcome. (Jews, allies, immigrants, activists, etc.)
