Hike for Hunger

Hike for Hunger is a monthlong opportunity to hit the trails while raising funds to ensure our neighbors have access to healthy food. Proceeds from Hike for Hunger go directly to the Amherst Survival Center's food and nutrition programs, which last year provided more than 1.6 million meals (prepared and groceries) to close to 11,000 people. Your support of Hike for Hunger makes it possible for the Amherst Survival Center to respond to the growing need and get more food to more people.

The JCA supports the Amherst Survival Center (ASC) in many ways, through synagogue food drives, food collections at Stop & Shop, neighborhood drives, and more. This is another way you can support the ASC while also taking in the beautiful local autumn.

As your first step, register as an individual for $25.00. Then follow the steps to register as a JCA Team Member. There is no charge for that additional registration.

Our team page has the option to donate directly to the team; you can also forward to any supporters if you’d like to.

Note that Barbara Burkart is carrying us toward our current goal....YAY, Barbara! Not to make this too competitive, let's all try to give Barbara a run (or at least a hike) for her money!
