2024 Pineville Recap!

You may have missed out!  Main Street Pineville started 2024 on a roll. Let's start by introducing you to our new tagline, "Picture Yourself in Pineville!"  We hope that is what you will be doing soon, at least come visit or attend one of this year's events!  We want to see you, and go ahead and snap a picture while you are here!

If you haven't been keeping up you may have missed "The Gala". This is an annual event that took place in January and it celebrates the accomplishments of the area downtown business.  It recognizes the goals that have been reached and discusses where the businesses are going in the future.  It is a great time to catch up, eat good food and dance the night away!

In February we celebrated the most loving Holiday---Valentine's Day! The day started off with a Galentine's Brunch of gals and their besties!.  Then, even though the weather was less than perfect we had a Sip & Shop, the evening concluded with a live episode of Brian O'Brien and the Not So Newlywed Game!  It was all so much fun!

In February, we also celebrated Black History Month.  The Bell Theater hosted an event to celebrate local Black History after an Unity March around the square.  Then, the group met to have special speakers and singers.  There was also a presentation about one of Pineville's own Albert "Bud" Towns, a coal mining hero and who ultimately was the reason that Pineville Hospital was one of the first integrated hospitals in the state. After, it was announced that Pineville Community Health Center located in the former Pineville Hospital building will have a memorial commemorating Mr. Towns. Michael Frey, owner of PCHC also made a $10,000 donation toward the renovation of the Bethel Baptist Church.

March may have come in like a lamb, but things were definitely roaring at the Song of the South concert on March 2nd at the Bell Theater. They are an Alabama Tribute band out of Johnson City and they put on a great show to an almost full theater.  It was a fun night at the Bell!

Saturday, March 23rd will be the annual Pineville Kiwanis Egg Hunt and the 2nd year it will be held downtown on the square. It has become a collaboration of the Pineville Kiwanis and the Pineville Key Club, along with Main Street Pineville, Pineville IAL Grant and of course the Easter Bunny! Come out at noon for some family fun!
