We're making Trax this January! Event list and Newsletter
The Fridge: January
Hello, everyone!
It's been such a busy and exciting time! Apologies for the delay, but here’s this month’s edition of The Fridge, which includes a summary of our recent and upcoming events. Click on the image below to view the full details.
We’ve had the BEST time over the past couple of months with all our winter-themed events, engaging both the residents of our building and our local businesses. It’s truly been a pleasure!
That said, we know how important it is to keep the fun going with vibrant programming for our community. This is only possible thanks to our ever-growing network of volunteers, business owners, and supporters. We appreciate you so much! Because of your support, we’re thrilled to announce some exciting additions to our programming within the Columbus Community Building:
Youth Art Project (Thursdays, 4-5 PM)
Every Thursday, we’ll host youth in our gallery for an after-school project. Together, we’ll create a celebrity grid mural (yay!) piece by piece, which will be featured in our Youth Gallery Space during an upcoming exhibit (double yay!)."Able Art" Program (Third Tuesday of Each Month, 10 AM)
We’re launching Able Art, a program specifically designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This group will be led by Mr. K, an inspiring artist who also lives with an intellectual disability. Our next activity is on 1/21 at 10:00 AM in the Creativity Corner on the second floor of the Library. Please note: These events are first-come, first-served, and space is limited. No registration is required.
"Artful Afternoons" (Saturdays, 2 PM)
Our free art classes in the gallery continue every Saturday at 2 PM. Registration is required and can be completed through the links on our Community Calendar.Gallery Updates
Our current exhibition, Visible Threads, runs through 1/09. A fresh exhibit, Still Waters, Silent Wings, will open on 1/16 at 5 PM. We can’t wait to share new art with our community and hope to see some new and familiar faces at these events!
Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re creating something truly special!
Warm regards,
