A Message from Pastor George Fry
Psalm 78:4 – 7a
We will not hide them from their children,
Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,
And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
For He established a testimony in Jacob,
And appointed a law in Israel,
Which He commanded our fathers,
That they should make them known to their children.
That the generation to come might know them,
The children who would be born,
That they may arise and declare them to their children,
That they may set their hope in God,
And not forget the works of God,
But keep His commandments.
As the Psalm above states, we are to teach our children about the love, grace, mercy, hope, and salvation of God. The church should be one place where our children experience the love of God.
As we teach God's path (Proverbs 22:6) to our children, the church must practice patience and grace. Children should grow up with positive memories of their church. As they may experience struggles or doubts in adulthood, I hope they will remember their church as a place where they felt God's grace and unconditional love.
