A Message from Pastor George Fry

Psalm 78:4 – 7a

We will not hide them from their children,
Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,
And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

For He established a testimony in Jacob,
And appointed a law in Israel,
Which He commanded our fathers,
That they should make them known to their children.

That the generation to come might know them,
The children who would be born,
That they may arise and declare them to their children,
That they may set their hope in God,
And not forget the works of God,
But keep His commandments.

I have been looking at the pictures and reading the responses on Facebook about the Youth Rally. It sounds like many of the youth’s lives have been touched and changed from this ministry. What a blessing it is to see a church give up their sanctuary to minister to the youth. Many thanks to Steve Moody and all the volunteers for planning and investing their time to the spiritual growth of the youth.

As the Psalm above states, we are to teach our children about the love, grace, mercy, hope, and salvation of God. The church should be one place where our children experience the love of God.

As we teach God's path (Proverbs 22:6) to our children, the church must practice patience and grace. Children should grow up with positive memories of their church. As they may experience struggles or doubts in adulthood, I hope they will remember their church as a place where they felt God's grace and unconditional love.
