As the year draws to a close, Main Street Chillicothe extends a heartfelt thank you to the incredible volunteers who dedicated their time, talents, and energy to make our downtown vibrant and welcoming in 2024. With an impressive 801 volunteer hours logged this year, the success of Main Street Chillicothe is a direct result of their hard work, passion, and commitment to our community.

From seasonal events to revitalization projects, volunteers were the backbone of Main Street’s success this year. Highlights of their efforts include:

• Main-iacs on Main – Our amazing student volunteer Junior Main Street group rolled up their sleeves for Sliced Bread Day, art instalments, downtown cleanup days, and more. We are so fortunate to work with this talented group putting in the time for their community. Their work not only contributes to the success of our projects but also inspires the next generation of community leaders.

• Committee Members – Shape the future of downtown by joining one of our committees—there’s something for everyone! Whether you’re passionate about planning events like the Wine Walk, supporting local businesses through personal visits and data collection, assisting with fundraising, or bringing energy to our social media, we’d love to have you on board. • Signature Events – Volunteers played a vital role in hosting events like the Spring Wine Walk, Fall Brew Crawl, Sweet Stroll, and Hot Cocoa Crawl, helping bring many visitors to the heart of Chillicothe to shop, dine, and enjoy all our local businesses have to offer.

• Beautification & Downtown Decor – From adopting and decorating brick planters to assisting with downtown landscaping, volunteers help make Chillicothe a picture-perfect destination for any holiday.
