Playing With a Thumb Pick

Alternate 1st and 2nd Fingers

Make sure when you are warming up to be alternating your first and second fingers when you are playing. 

What Kind of Pick Should I Get?

Fred Kelly makes some great picks but most any pick will do as long as it fits your thumb!
